ALICE JANE RAYNOR

The Christmas countdown indicates 8 days to Christmas! While waiting today, the Advent calendar offers us the story of Alice Jane Raynor

I did not know Alice and she is a fantastic discovery!

Starting with the name which is a tribute to her beloved Jane Eyre

The restlessness was in my nature; it agitated me to pain sometimes.
Jane Eyre is really a character of the heart, so how not to immediately become attached to Alice?

Among other things, I discover that she loves to read everything, she studies mechanical engineering, is passionate about chemistry and physics, and also carries out historical research …

You will say: there can be nothing more! But no, there is more!
Alice experience her first publication at the age of sixteen.

I can only say chapeau and advise you to read his story The spirit of Christmas:
I walk the streets of a city – my city – and look at the shop windows, barely raising my eyes to a light, a reflection of golden paper and the notes of Christmas music that filters through the doors. The crowd forces me to proceed with a slowness that does not please me. I usually avoid those crowded places, these sticky people who stick to every part of my body go on here

TUTTOLANDIA

The days go by and we are already at box number 7 of the Advent Calendar, The world of Shioren announced that the creations would include a bit of everything… we started with a drawing, then we had tales and a video.

Today Tuttolandia gives us a poem.

So far, in some cases more, in some cases less, I had first met the authors of the various blogs participating in this initiative, but in the case of Tuttolandia I am faced with a surprise in the round.

Reading what Paola writes about herself, I discover many aspects that unite us, and I smile at the thought of how fate sometimes makes us cross people in the strangest ways.

As I wrote in the comments to Paola, reading the poem she wrote immediately transported me to the kind of Christmas atmosphere that I particularly love.

Light.
I feel the need for that light so much, and I think it should be a little bit like this for everyone.

You will tell me after reading The Tree and the Star:

The fir

master of the room

fondles himself as

a princess

coated

from rosy crystals

and thirst for

light ribbons.

INCHIOSTRONOIR

New day, new ink for Advent calendar  creations, today special “ink:” it’s Inchiostronoir

Yannick, author of the Inchiostronoir blog, has a particular fondness for the Detective stories in general, so you will immediately understand that this is a great common point!

In fact, reading his latest review, I discovered a book that I would call a real gem and that immediately got me hit.

I also found his collaboration for the interactive book Persephone X very interesting  which starting from the title opens up a universe of thoughts, and what if I tell you that it also contains the spirit of action of the glorious 80’s

The novel by Yannich Roch instead is titled The master of the dead  and obviously it is a Detective stort “old fashioned, in the dark heart of Paris” … nothing to add: I would say perfect!

Inchiostronoir’s Christmas story is titled The farrier and the wayfarer:

The wind blew through the snowy hills and forests, bringing with it a few snowflakes to sprinkle on the wooden houses and the woolen cloaks of the pilgrims go on here

ELENA AND LAURA

Fifth day of the Advent calendar with Elena and Laura: two sisters and a room of books

I find the sharing of this strong passion for reading between two sisters fantastic.

Elena and Laura make me think back to the times when my brother and I exchanged books,  in our case the preferences were a bit different, but this was an added value for me: in some way this helped to complete.

My brother writes very well, even though he doesn’t want me to say it.

So I will say that Elena and Laura are really good and talented, I followed their The house of souls  published serial on the blog and, in case you haven’t read it yet, I absolutely recommend that you retrieve it!

I also report their novel The secret of the trees  of which I anticipate only one name: Endelaman Crosel who struck me not only for the particularity, but because it was invented by Elena-child-version

The Christmas story by Elena and Laura instead is called Christmas, snow and chocolate:

A snowball hit the mailbox just as Ella was closing the shop. She turned abruptly and met the eyes of two children intent on a battle: they seemed mortified. She smiled and waved at them. The two smiled in turn and ran towards the park go on here

PAOLA PIOLETTI

For the Advent calendar today is Paola Pioletti‘s day!

In the very first exchange with Paola, she told me about a coat by Vivienne Westwood worn to shoot a video, then the topics covered involved everything, but not in the sense of the common way of saying, I really mean EVERYTHING!

Paola is an artist at three hundred and sixty degrees, because her art resides is her true essence.

To tell the truth, I cannot enclose my idea of her in a definition: Paola is in continuous evolution, like a chameleonic, volcanic, and extremely communicative Soul, whose main aspect, however, is to always remain herself.

I absolutely recommend that you follow her Instagram profile  because her stories are one more enchanting than the other!

These days her book La casa di cera: the journey of a girl who was not there has been released which unfortunately I have not yet had the opportunity to read, but I will leave you the link for Silvia’s review on the blog Come cerchi sull’acqua.

And regarding the calendar, obviously Paola has created a unique surprise, you can find it here

CENTOQUARANTADUE

Three: one hundred and forty-two.
Numbers today!

Third appointment with the Advent calendar by the blog Centoquarantadue

I have been following Centoquarantadue for a while and I am passionate about serial stories, in particular I am reading the publications of La storia di noi due which is a story written by four hands: She 142 writes the part relating to the female character and vice versa.

I recommend that you follow it from week to week, because at the end of each one you will remain in suspense wondering what will happen next.

In fact, the whole blog Centoquarantadue is written by two Souls fused in writing, and for this very reason it offers many different ideas among which I am passionate about quotes and riddles

Today’s story was written by the “female half” and is titled Il regalo di Natale – Christmas Gift:

That year the snow arrived early, earlier than usual. A lot of it had fallen and the small town at the bottom of the valley soon took on the magical and fairytale aspect of a Christmas cardgo on here
