See you one of these days … how often does this phrase occur in life?
Sometimes it happens punctually, other times less …

Also for this book I have to thank Monica and since the theme is Friendship, of those for which even the term sisterhood becomes an understatement, I dedicate a special THANK YOU with a built-in hug.

The initial sensation foreshadowed me a much lighter story, instead at an incessant pace we meet and collide obstacles of those who cut the legs and no one is exempt.

In fact, the sentence I wrote down comes at the end of a dialogue: “… from experience, messes by their nature like to add up.”

In its lapidary simplicity, as far as I’m concerned, it fits perfectly.

But I’d like you to tell me it’s not like that for you because I’d be really happy about it.

Just as I was happy for the positive vision that the book offers after a brutally tragic experience, as life itself knows to be.

In my case it wasn’t like that, but it’s nice and right to be able to think differently.

Personally, I also always appreciate the share of sweetened scenarios since ugliness and misfortunes still abound in everyday life.

Federica Bosco has kept a blog on her website, until 2017.

Reading it emphasized her irony, which I certainly appreciated, in particular I liked her post “Hypersensitivity is my superpower.”

And I don’t know how I ended up imagining myself like Red Guardian … that is alternative, out of time, out of sync and also out of shape.

But to give me a tone I step into the action and steal the title: See you one of these days … for a coffee?

INTERNATIONAL COFFEE DAY

Every year on October 1st, the international day is intended to celebrate coffee and recognize the millions of people around the world: farmers, roasters, baristas, coffeehouse owners and more, who work hard to create and serve the drink we love.

International Coffee Organization dedicates the focus of the 2020 edition to a collective mission to help coffee farmers around the world to receive a fair and viable income with the program Coffee’s next generation to specifically support the next generation of young producers.

Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milan offers a coffee tasting of the “Anniversary Blend” but pay attention to the specific time slots: from 9 a.m. to 9.30, from 11 a.m. to 11.30, from 2 p.m. to 2.30 and from 4 p.m. to 4.30, excluding the Malpensa Terminal 1 and Cordusio premises.

Talent Garden Calabiana organizes an outdoor community breakfast sponsored by Lavazza.

Cimbali will host the first live broadcast of the Italian Coffee Network full of interviews, demonstrations and webinars in collaboration with the trainers of the Mumac Academy, organized by Istituto Espresso Italiano, SCA Italy and Consorzio di Tutela del Caffé Espresso.

On the other hand, at Caffé Gambrinus, the From the bean to the cup event has unfortunately been canceled.
Just as on the Milano Caffè website nothing appears.
And it is a real shame because never before would it be appropriate to encourage the cafes that have been particularly affected.

For this reason I find the initiative of La Genovese Caffé nice: Offer a coffee to your bartender which proposes to overturn the roles leaving for once a suspended coffee for the one who prepares it, in order to express closeness and sympathy.

On October 1st, World Coffee Day, users are invited to take a photo or screenshot of their coffee date and post it and tag @juliusmeinlofficial to support a global cause.

Among other things, speaking of poems, I could tag important friends.

The explanation of the initiative appears on the website: Julius Meinl who is the organizer and foresees a poem to be written together with a dear friend to receive two special coffees in exchange.

But ours are always special coffees, right !?

THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Gianni Rodari is always very topical in my opinion, but probably not even he would have imagined a time when the pencil, like all the rest of the material, would have taken second place compared to the bags that will contain them.

Each of us keeps the memory of the first day of school, how was yours? What is the first image that comes to mind?

Mine is distant in time and belongs to a time when notebooks were small, and only two: one lined and one checked, and for a moment I felt lost in the midst of children I did not know.
If I close my eyes I still smell the scent of the offellas that my mother had wrapped for a snack, making me a surprise.

In middle school, on the other hand, I felt great closing the books of the first day with those elastic bands with the clasp in front and going towards a new adventure.

At my high school debut I was alone again among unfamiliar faces, but that was the important day I met the one who would become a Great Friend for life.

But tomorrow?
What day will tomorrow be?
Paraphrasing Rodari: what kind of life can children write who tomorrow will face their first day of school with the long list of rules to respect and things not to do in hand?

Will we be able to make sure that our children can write as a “clear word Love” before FIGHT and WORK?

For once adults will be able to set the right example, will they be able to learn from mistakes, will they be able to use progress, knowledge, and above all experience, for a first day towards a better society, seriously, at least this time?
